HOW WE MET:
Chase and I connected on Coffee Meets Bagel in December 2018. I was immediately attracted to his blue eyes and handsome smile, but mostly his engaging personality and humor. I sensed he was genuinely a caring, fun-loving, down-to-earth, easy-going guy, and that’s exactly what he turned out to be. Our first date was in early February at SMOKE Barbecue Taqueria in Lawrenceville, PA; we enjoyed delicious tacos and margaritas, and talked about everything. I couldn’t believe how much we aligned in both our goals and our values. Before we even wished each other a goodnight, I knew he was very special. The rest is history!

THE PROPOSAL:
Some of my best ideas come with little forethought. Now that doesn’t mean I asked Anna on a whim! On the contrary, I had known for some time that I would eventually ask her to marry me. What I could never decide was when, and how? But then Anna and I took a vacation to St. Petersburg, Florida, and the highlight of our trip was going to be Halloween; Anna’s favorite “holiday”. We were excited to spend the day in costumes and tour the beach with some friends. To help keep my surprise, my friend held the ring securely in his fannypack until it was the perfect time. As evening set in, I knew it was the moment I had waited for, so I grabbed her by the wrist and led her to the waterside. Before kneeling down, I asked her if she promised to love me forever, and once she said yes, I asked her to marry me.
