Hallie and Tyler

How they met:

Although Tyler & I grew up in the same town, our paths did not cross until Labor Day of 2018. Our dads, who are friends with one another & love running, had us come along for an 8-mile trail run with them on that Labor Day. Tyler was living in Chicago at the time, but was home for the holiday weekend. We ended up running together and talking for the last 4 miles of the run. After the run, Tyler had to catch a flight back to Chicago.
It wasn’t until November of 2018 that Tyler moved back closer to the area. We went on a couple of dates, and the rest is history!

The proposal:

Fast forward to November 2019. Tyler planned a surprise weekend getaway to Nemacolin for my 29th birthday. He surprised me 100 beautiful roses on the day of my birthday. Then we left for Nemacolin for the weekend. On November 9th, Tyler got down on one knee at the Heart at Falling Rock and asked me to marry him. It was a perfect day!

COVID-19 and change of plans:

We originally planned to get married at Nemacolin on August 15, 2020. However, COVID had other plans for us!
We decided to downsize and postpone our wedding. The wedding was rescheduled for September 19, 2020 in my parents beautiful backyard.

The BIG Day:

This was not like any backyard wedding- there were lights strung throughout the backyard, glass globes hanging in the trees, and a beautiful pergola that was built for our ceremony complete with a beautiful slate aisle and a wooden white door entrance. It was truly a fairytale.
The evening was filled with laughter, smiles, and happy tears. There was also dancing under the moonlight, beautiful fireworks, and an amazing sparkler send off for Tyler & I!
It was so special for Tyler and I to have our family and some of our closest friends there for our special day.
Our sweet nephews, Parker and Graham, along with our beautiful niece, Reagan, were are also a part of our big day, which was so special for us. They were there to get ready with us during the day and that will always be a beautiful memory for us.
We are so close with our families, they are truly our best friends. So it was amazing to share our biggest day with brothers and sisters along with their significant others.
Our parents are the most loving and supportive people out there. They made our wedding weekend truly unforgettable. There were so many beautiful details. My parents backyard was truly transformed into a beautiful wedding venue in less than a month. We couldn’t have dreamed of a more memorable and beautiful place for our most important day. Not only was our wedding at my childhood home, but now we will one day tell our children about how we were married at their grandparents home!
We are so grateful that our wedding plans had changed because it brought us the most beautiful and memorable day of our lives!
