How they met
The story is one that debunks the myth that you can’t find love in bar. In December of 2014, Autumn attended her law firm’s holiday party at Atria’s PNC Park. At the time, Matthew was the bar manager there and quickly won Autumn over with his good looks, charm, and ability to keep her wine glass full. A few days later, Matthew asked Autumn on their first date — his military ball — and the rest, as they say, is history. Fast forward to three years, one deployment, two cats, one dog, and a new downtown apartment later when Matthew popped the question on the gorgeous ocean cliffs of Negril, Jamaica, after a private dinner on Valentine’s Day. Following our engagement, we purchased our first home in the Mt. Washington neighborhood of Pittsburgh where we celebrated our marriage on July 5, 2019.
Wedding Day
We truly would not have changed a single detail about our big day. It was intimate, classic, and joyous. Above all, we were completely overwhelmed by the amount of love that we felt from our family and friends that day. We had so many people travel from all over the county on a holiday weekend to celebrate with us, and we truly could not be more grateful. While the whole day was special and exciting, we particularly enjoyed our wedding ceremony because we were able to just focus on each other and the commitment we were making that day.
