How they met

Brandon and I starting talking back in November 2016 on Match.com of all places BUT we didn’t actually have our first date until January. It is a running joke and Brandon says he was my “second choice” because I decided to pursue another option that November instead of meeting him.  Two months later, I sent him a message and we finally met for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and the rest is history!  Funny enough, cheesecake is an integral part of our relationship… our first date, our first Valentine’s Day he made me a cheesecake, one year anniversary, 2nd Valentine’s Day he made me another cheesecake, and engagement.

The proposal

He proposed on March 9, 2018 to a slideshow he made set to one of our favorite songs. Our wedding is set for June 22, 2019. We will be getting married in the church we joined together, Hampton Presbyterian Church, with the reception to follow at the Cranberry Marriott.

We were both extremely skeptical that online dating would actually work.  Brandon thought that he was going to be “catfished.”  Turns out, however, that going online was the best decision we could have ever made.
