HOW THEY MET

Courtney and Bill were introduced by mutual friends during PSU-OSU weekend in 2014.  They spent the weekend at different tailgates, doing totally different things. Thankfully their friends Mike & Marie didn’t give up and invited them Blue White Weekend in the Spring where they reconnected and hit it off.  Once they got back to Pittsburgh they started talking and hanging out pretty much everyday and the rest is history!

THE PROPOSAL

They had been dating for about two years and had already discussed our future together so marriage wasn’t a question of “if” but rather “when”. Now Courtney is a planner and according to her, Bill was taking too long. She felt like Bill wasn’t taking the matter seriously and they were falling behind in their (her) 5 Year Plan. After foiling Bill’s plans for a romantic proposal downtown with dessert and Christmas lights at the Point, Courtney was completely surprised when Bill proposed at home with the ring he had secretly been hiding from her only feet away from where they slept!

WEDDING

They were married by Courtney’s childhood priest, Father Robert Ruston at Epiphany Church downtown on October 27, 2018.  Followed by a reception at the LeMont with a full view of the city where they fell in love. After a morning of rain, the skies cleared just in time for the couple’s first look and it was magical.  The day was perfect from start to finish thanks to all of our amazing vendors that executed all of Courtney’s planning flawlessly. So many families and friends came together on what was a difficult day in Pittsburgh to celebrate Courtney and Bill’s love, proving love is stronger than hate.
