Last August, as the sun set on the beach of Presque Isle, with Mike down on one knee, Amanda said “yes.” One year later, during a beautiful, heartfelt ceremony, they both said “I do” and promised each other forever. Mike and Amanda could not have asked for a more perfect day to begin their “happily ever after.” They both agree that it was the best day of their lives and were so fortunate to have had their family and loved ones there to celebrate with them.
Amanda will never forget walking down the secluded, tree lined path to see her groom for the first time before the ceremony. When he turned around and she saw the smile
on his face and the love in his eyes, she felt like the luckiest girl in the world, knowing that the handsome man standing in front of her was going to be her husband.
Mike’s favorite part of the wedding was during the ceremony when the couple exchanged their vows. Amanda’s vows, which declared her love and devotion to Mike, brought tears to his eyes. His emotional vows to her were touchingly beautiful and so full of love. It was a moment that Amanda will also always hold dear to her heart.
Mike and Amanda danced to Boyce Avenue’s cover of “Heaven” for their first dance. After dinner, they kicked off the dance party, which also included a Penn State “White Out” where everyone danced with their white pom poms to “Zombie Nation.” They also had a “longest-married” dance for married couples, and Mike’s parents, Don and Sue, were the last ones dancing after celebrating 42 years of marriage!
Everything about their wedding day was even more perfect than they could have ever imagined. They look forward to spending their lives together, sharing amazing moments, and seeing what the future has in store.
