How They Met
It all started with a simple “Hey, how are you?!” from Liz on Bumble. Liz and Brian had a small chat, getting to know the basics of one another and then wished each other goodnight. As days passed, they would have long conversations via Bumble about the small things, families, hopes and dreams until finally one day Brian had asked Liz to go to a Steeler’s tailgate he was hosting. Liz unfortunately was on her way back from her cousin’s baby shower in Baltimore so she was unable to attend but let Brian know that she would be going to a local bar, Tequila Cowboy, afterwards if he wanted to meet her. He let her know that he was actually going into the game but would meet her after.
Liz got home and her friend Jen picked her up as they would go down to the bar to meet friends. Liz said, “So, I’ve been chatting with this guy that I am supposed to be meeting tonight?” Jen asked, “What’s his name?” Liz goes, “Brian Griffin” Jen said “No way?! I used to go to college at Duquesne with him!” Such a small world!
The Proposal
Liz and Jen hung out at the bar and met up with some friends and were enjoying themselves for awhile and Liz thought maybe after all the chats, it would be a meek ending. But then Brian and his buddy showed up and the rest was history! Liz and Brian chatted all night long until the bar closed and didn’t want things to end. They ended up going to EatnPark to get some late night (or early morning) food and continue to enjoy each other’s company. From there on out Liz and Brian were inseparable. They met each other’s family and friends and quickly became a couple. They decided to move in together after 7 months of dating and then after 4 years of dating Brian decided to pop the question in their home in Southside that they had renovated together!
