How They Met
Tyler and I are actually from the same hometown and knew of each other growing up, but our paths didn’t cross until September of 2018. Funny enough, our dads set us up! Our dads are friends, and they both love running. So, on Labor Day 2018, Tyler and I met on an 8-mile trail run.. with our dads! Tyler was living in Chicago at the time, so after our run, he was headed back to Chicago. Over the next two months, we talked here and there, but it wasn’t until November that Tyler moved back to the area and we connected instantly. We fell in love quickly, and the rest is history!
The Proposal
Just over a year after we started dating, Tyler surprised me 100 roses (yes, 100 roses!) for birthday with a card saying we were going to Nemacolin for the weekend. I was totally surprised! What I thought was going to be a weekend away for my 29th birthday turned into him getting down on one knee and asking me to marry him! Neither one of us could stop smiling. It was the best day ever.
The Wedding
The proposal was so perfect that we decided we wanted to get married at Nemacolin in August 2020. We are now just a couple of months away from the big day, and we can’t wait to celebrate with our closest friends and family at Nemacolin!
