Story of Us
I wrote a pretty detailed summary of our relationship for the engagement photos. I can add/adjust/resend if you want!
We’ve been together for about 7 years and we met through mutual friends. I can give as much or as little as you want! Ha!
Wedding Day Memories
We wanted our wedding to reflect our personalities and most of all we wanted to have a fantastic time! We kept a few traditions, but also wanted to do things our own way. Neither one of us is a front and center kind of person, so we wanted to find ways to keep the day meaningful, but also make sure we were comfortable. We were thrilled when our ceremony became a little bit interactive and could hear people laughing and enjoying themselves. We were lucky enough to have our very good family friend who is also a former district magistrate along side a mutual friend of ours officiate our ceremony. The two of them, despite only meeting a few times, were perfect compliments for each other. With their warm hearts, energetic personalities, and personal connection to us, we couldn’t have planned a more perfect (or fun!) ceremony. As part of the ceremony, we poured sand from the beach where we got engaged along with some glitter, blue sand into a picture frame vase. We were overjoyed with the sweet and loving words spoken by our officiants and the vows that we wrote together.
Another favorite memory was my brooch bouquet. I requested a brooch from the women who attended my shower. We added sentimental family heirlooms and were gifted different brooches, some with special meaning while others were simply gorgeous. My mom, along side a great friend and former art teacher, constructed the perfect bouquet to go with me up and down the aisle. The blend of glitz and sentimental meaning was the perfect accessory.

Our flower girl had a Hayley Paige t-shirt with a skirt hand-made by my mom. She accessorized with sparkly high tops and her own brooch bouquet. Her brother, our ring bearer, carried a pillow that my mom made from her wedding dress and veil. She even added the zipper from her own gown to make sure our rings were safe and secure!

We absolutely loved our band. Matt found Joe Bachman at our summer shore town a few years ago and convinced me to go see him. I instantly fell in love with him and his band and we would reserve every Thursday to go and see them. When Joe Bachman came back to play again three summers ago in North Wildwood with Kono Nation, we made sure to bring family and friends and go see them perform each week all summer long. We were thrilled when we were able to book them for our wedding. They made for a fantastic time filled with dance circles, singing, and dancing. We didn’t leave the dance-floor all night!

I loved our champagne bottle favors and place cards. It was very special that my uncle created the stand to perfectly fit the exact number of bottles.

I had an illustration of Matt and I made from one of my favorite artists, Joanna Baker. We used it on our welcome bags, thank you cards that were placed at each table, and as our guest portrait.
I loved the winter wonderland that Hearts and Flowers created in the Sheraton ballroom.
We loved sharing our special day with family and friends and felt so lucky to have so many loving and fabulous people to celebrate with. So many different friends and family members played a part in our big day from the cookie table to ceremony to decor to driving us for pictures, and so many other small roles that went into making the most perfect day for us! We felt so loved and blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful people.
