Carl and Kara have been together nearly 14 years and truly are each others best friend. Kara’s brother, who is 5 years older than her, was friends with Carl in high school, but it wasn’t until after Kara graduated that she met Carl. Kara slowly started hanging out with her brother’s friends and started dating Carl, the rest is kind of history.
Bride’s favorite moments of the Big Day
“There are 3 particular moments that I can’t think about without crying.
1. When I was hidden in a room in the church waiting for the ceremony to start and I had a moment, I broke down in tears of happiness.
2. When the ceremony started and the bridal party was waiting to begin the processional, the doors to the sanctuary were shut and I was standing on the stairs with my dad, everyone was quiet and the only thing you could hear was my soft crying.
3. Our first dance, I was so overcome with emotion and just so happy that it was finally our day in our moment.
But there are a lot of memories that make me laugh too like when my dad and brother’s came to my room and we just started acting silly making each other laugh. When you (Kristi) were finishing shooting our bride and groom portraits, went to go get the bridal party and came back saying you had to yell at them to get off of the roof of the limo. When our good friend surprised everyone and wore the homemade robot helmet out on the dance floor to shuffle.
And the one memory I never expected was how hard it was to patiently wait through the morning to get to finally see and be with Carl. I didn’t want the day to fly by and I wanted to enjoy every moment, but I was anxiously anticipating getting to finally be with my Carl. “
